An Invitation – Free 21-Day Wigmore Detox Program

  • Jim CareyThe holidays are over, your resolutions are already falling by the wayside, and you’re starting to settle back into the same rut you were in last year. Sigh…

Why? No, it’s not because you don’t have any willpower.

There are two reasons: homeostasis and toxicity.

Homeostasis is the body’s natural tendency to want to continue to do what it’s been doing. The body doesn’t know that something is unhealthy – all it knows is that it’s surviving with the current chemical balance. Thus, it’s tissue’s nature to resist change. This is a natural survival mechanism of your body.

Toxicity is the cause of all dis-ease. When we put toxins into the body faster than they can be processed out, the body stores the toxins in fat cells, to protect us. Accumulate enough toxins in your fat cells and you’ll begin developing health challenges.

Toxicity is why I was unable to lose weight before I went on Dr. Ann’s program. My body was highly toxic,  and was storing the toxins in my fat cells to protect me. My vegetarian diet was still non-organic, processed foods, so my body never got a chance to heal itself.

Once I went on a regime of raw, living, organic, uncooked foods my body was able to process those toxins and eliminate them. I not only lost 30 lbs. in 30 days, my arthritis disappeared, my mental processes became sharper, I had more energy and I was happier – all of the time. [Legal: see the "typical benefits" statement]

Dr. Flora van Orden IIIDr. Flora van Orden III has a PhD in nutrition, was Dr. Ann Wigmore’s personal assistant for 22+ years, traveled the world with Dr. Ann, and has been a Wigmore Practitioner for 40 years.

Flora has graciously agreed to run a 21-day Wigmore-based Detoxification and Rejuvenation program for us. This program is designed to get us back on track to a healthy, non-toxic lifestyle.

The program will start soon, perhaps July 15th, and will be internet-based. That is, we’ll email you the plans, goals and recipes for each day, and coaching and interaction will be done though comments on this website, at the bottom of each day’s page (see the Comment section, below).

    This program is free.

Flora and I will endeavor to answer all of your questions in a timely manner.

The sign up form is below. All we need is your name and email address.

After you click on “Sign up” in the box below, be sure to check your email box for the confirmation letter I’m going to send you. If you don’t see it within a few minutes of signing up, please check your junk mail folder.

It’s important that you follow the confirmation instructions on the follow-up email, and that you add “editor@rawfriends.com” to your email white list or address book, to make sure that Dr. Flora’s daily letters get through to you.

Please, come join us! I promise we’ll make it fun!

    Rawsomely Yours,

I understand, Jackie. You’ve stumbled upon the website I built “for the future.” My “in the present” websites are http://chidiet.com and http://chidiet.com/blog/

You’re a trouper, if you’re doing this on dialup. The detox program will be all email based, with no video, so you’ll do fine.

    Hello
    I have 2 questions
I am already 90% on a raw food diet / on the Dr.Ann Wigmore diet, I infrequently drink coffee when driving allot, or rarely taste meat. I miss heated food.
    1) Will I benefit from the program and Can I learn how to ensure I am not deriving my body vitamins and minerals?
2)I live overseas – GMT+2 ( 8 hours ahead of EST time) – will I still be able to join?
    Thank you!

I’ve been raw now for 3 months and am loving it & am so ready for a detox!! I do hope we are given plenty of warning on what supplies will be required as I live in a remote setting in Wyoming and do have to grow all of the stuff possible and only get to large supermarkets about once a week. Thanks ahead of time for doing this it is much appreciated. I am a huge fan of Ann Wigmore & appreciate any info you have to share about her & her amazing school of thought.

Grat job Jim, thank you for this opportunity! I’m in the program but i do have one question.
I still breastfeed my 1y and 8months daughter and I was wondering if I could do that while breastfeeding. I have read different sources that state detox is not recommended while breastfeeding as toxins may get into milk.
    Is that true?

    To Cristina and Martin,

The recommendation is for women to go raw and detox BEFORE becoming pregnant. While pregnant, or breastfeeding, a radical change of body chemistry is potentially troublesome.

You CAN, however, eat a lot more fruits, veggies and leafy greens during this period. Google Karen Ranzi – she specializes in raw parenting. I think they still have Karen’s video at http://chiVideos.com, also.

Our family, my husband, daughter and me, has been on raw fruit diet for 5 weeks. Previously we have been vegetarian for 8 years, then transitioned into vegan diet for 2 years, at this summer holiday, we decide to try fruitarian and we feel great.

However, we are new to raw world, We are glad to have your support, we have signed up for 21 days detox program, and we look forward to your advice and guidance.

    Dear Jim,
Thank you for all what you do!

Here, I have a couple of things I want to ask you.

Do I need anything specific to join this program, such as wheatgrass? I live in Japan, and am not sure if I could get everything required.

    I also have another concern.
I’ve been suffering from eating disorder for over 20years, and am having poor health including so many hormonal problems.
I’ve been trying to go raw for a couple of months, which makes me feel much better than eating cooked food all the time,
but I also get in to this vicious circle of after a while of eating raw, craving, overeating cooked food especially gulten, carbohydrates, sugary food and then getting into selfguilt, emotional eating….
Will I benifit from this program, or is it better to try something else?

I hope my english made sense.
    Thank you!

Thank you so much Jim! Most of the fruits and veggies we can’t get organic/fresh here… but I will try my best to find things organic or locally grown. But is it better to do nothing than to use things pesticied or heated?
Things like avocado, almonds, pinapples, flaxseeds, we dont grow it in Japan and they are usually postharvested with chemicals before getting imported.

Stacy I’ve had 33 myself and it’s awful. I learned something that will help at Murrieta Hot Springs in California in the 80s: It’s called the Vitality Drink and it will dissolve your stones slowly. There are other techniques to do them overnight. You cana read about them in Dr. Hulda Clark’s book, “The Cure for All Diseases”.

Take the juice of 1/2 lemon (fresh), 1 pink grapefruit, 1″ of ginger, 1 clove of garlic, 1 tablespoon of olive oil (to coat your intestinal lining so the citrus won’t make it bleed). Blend it all and chugalug (bolt it down fast) each morning on an empty stomach, and don’t eat again for an hour. You will feel relief as it dissolves the stones slowly. This 21 Day Detox will dissolve them also, but more slowly.

Miho, were you able to find green weeds and green young plants and things in Japan that are local? We want you to use your local things as much as possible. You dont need to export anything. What kinds of fruits and greens do you have there that are not bitter? You have persimmons, right? You have pears. You have seaweeds access? 26-43 ounces of greens packed a day minimum, a tablespoon of flax seed soaked, and some pears. I have been to Japan in 1979 and I had a wonderful time. Write to me at drflora@rawdoctors.com and let me know how you are.

Wilhelmina, that’s the whole thrust of this first every do-it-yourself program based on the pure Dr. Ann Wigmore Living Food protocol. There are many programs out there that use the Wigmore name, but this is the only one on-line that follows the real way she was teaching and living the last 2 years of her life, when she was at her peak (84 years old!) of genius.
We both felt that good health is your birthright. No one should be charged a dime to learn how to heal themselves. The greatest teachers, leaders, gurus, masters, of our times, have not accepted payment in any form. The only reasons Dr. Ann had to charge was to keep the institutes in Boston and down in Puerto Rico at the proper healing temperatures (85 F) and supply the best organic foods possible to help the body heal itself.
Jim: Dr. Wigmore taught that there were two reasons people got sick: toxemia and deficiency.

Do I need anything specific to join this program, such as wheatgrass?
Miho, you will be able to grow wheatgrass anywhere, even Japan, in the middle of your apartment. No land needed. Just some cafeteria trays with an inch of dirt. A pound of organic winter red wheat can be sent to you from many places in the world. Please check the internet for the least expensive shipper.

I’ve been trying to go raw for a couple of months, which makes me feel much better than eating cooked food all the time,
Dr. F: Of course, because of the chi in the live foods.
I’ve been in Japan myself, and so many delicious smells waft towards one while walking or cycling that unless you have at least 3 weeks under your belt and a stomach full of Energy Soup or are snacking on some soaked almonds, or dehydrated sprouted rice crackers, you will crave.

Sugar cravings are a sign that you are long-time protein deficient, which is easy to be when you have been eating a lot of rice, which is a habit, and also an addiction, if you are traditionally drinking sweetened tea after eating the rice, because that makes alcohol in your brain and you become intoxicated and thereafter run after the adrenalin rush.

selfguilt Never beat yourself up. You learn what triggers your cravings and then after 3 weeks or so, they will be gone. I don’t drive past McDonalds ever if I can help it, because the beef tallow they fry the potatoes in makes our stomach acids pour into our stomachs and we think that we are hungry because we have pains!

emotional eating: All eating up to this time has been emotional eating! Now you will learn how to eat for nourishment. There’s nothing wrong with emotional eating, but you will learn to eat foods that will make you feel better, not dependent!

Will I benifit from this program, or is it better to try something else?
You will benefit like nothing before, but you have to do it 100%.

I hope my English made sense.
You write beautiful English. Have no doubt. Japanese are very brilliant people. I had a dear friend in Guam in 1946 who was Japanese. His name was Nagaji Sakata. He taught me how to paint. I was very young and used to stand at his elbow watching him carefully. He was a great great artist.
